Squarespace Author Profile
How to Add an Author Bio in Squarespace
Are you looking to personalize the
look of your blog by displaying author bio at the end of each article?
Squarespace offers a author profile feature, allowing you to showcase a photo,
name, and a brief description of the post’s creator. However, the process to
set this up isn't always straightforward. In this easy-to-follow guide, I'll guide
you to create a contributor and an author profile so you can use the author bio
feature on your Squarespace site.
What is the Author Bio Feature in Squarespace?
The author bio feature in
Squarespace displays information about the content creator at the end of each
blog post. It includes:
- Author photo
- Author name
- A short bio or description
- Clickable links (e.g., to LinkedIn, Instagram, or your website)
Adding this feature boosts
credibility, builds trust with your readers, and gives your blog a professional
touch.
Contributor vs. Author: What’s the Difference?

editing access to your website and can add or edit content. They log into
Squarespace with their own account.

assigned to blog posts. Authors do not need a Squarespace account and cannot
edit content unless they are also contributors.
